Michael Bires is Director Product Line Thermal Management & HVAC at AVL, responsible for global business development, sales, and international operations in advanced thermal management solutions. He focuses on enabling OEMs to design and validate integrated systems for electrified mobility, using AI, simulation, and software-defined thermal management. Michael joined AVL in 2013 as Director of Sales and Marketing at AVL qpunkt GmbH and took on his current role in 2019. Earlier, he held senior management positions at WEISS Umwelttechnik GmbH and LEONI. With over 15 years of leadership experience, he combines commercial expertise with deep technical insight.
