As co-founder and CTO of Cepton, Dr. Mark McCord leads the development of high performance, low-cost imaging lidar systems. Prior to Cepton, McCord was Director of System Engineering, Advanced Development at KLA-Tencor, where he developed electron beam technologies for etching and imaging silicon chips. Earlier in his career, Mark was an acting associate professor of Electrical Engineering for three years at Stanford University, leading research in electron beam technology and nanofabrication with a group of 10-15 graduate students, and taught courses on semiconductor lithography and ran the electron beam lithography at the Stanford Nanofabrication Facility. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
