When founding Automotive Artificial Intelligence (AAI) GmbH together with industry peers, Intakhab Khan has set his team the mission to “create a replica of the world” with the development of a sophisticated environment simulation for use of testing and validating automated driving functions and vehicles. Throughout his career as senior manager and director within the automotive industry, he successfully implemented multiple serial development projects in the area of electrics and electronics, while always showing strong support for the introduction of innovative new technologies.

At AAI we are pursuing the mission to „Create a replica of the world“ for automated driving simulation. Since 2017 we are developing highly specialized software tools and simulation services for the development of automated driving functions and autonomous vehicles. With our naturalistic traffic simulation, it is possible to test automated driving algorithms based on long-haul test drives in simulation (endurance test). The test results will uncover unforeseen edge cases as well as indicate the robustness of the algorithms under test. On the other hand, scenario-based testing in simulation is the most suitable procedure for executing huge bulks of known test cases. With our AAI Scenario Cloning services, we extract and script scenarios observable in real-world test drive sensor recordings via our highly automated pipeline. These scenario files can be used for regression testing and allow test automation for identification of critical thresholds for validation with road tests.
