Dr. Stephan Hönle is Senior Vice President of „Automated Driving Systems” of the Chassis Systems Control Division of Robert Bosch GmbH and has been in this position since 1st April 2017.
Dr. Stephan Hönle was born on 12th September, 1967, in Augsburg, Germany. He is married and has two children. After graduating from high school he studied physics at the University in Ulm. He received his doctor’s degree 1998 at the Max-Planck-Institute for Metal Research in Stuttgart.
In 1998 he started his career at Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart, in the Corporate Sector Research. Since 2002 he has had various positions within the Chassis Systems Control Division. Until 2008 he was the Head of Advance Engineering and afterwards he was responsible for developing the electro-mechanical brake booster iBooster. From 2011 until 2014 he was VP Engineering at Robert Bosch LLC (USA) and responsible for active and passive safety systems. At the end of 2014 he became SVP for Systems Engineering in Abstatt, Germany.
