How Can High-Voltage Traction Inverters Drive the Future of Electric Mobility Across Both Passenger Cars and Heavy-Duty Vehicles?

Icebreaker

Wednesday, March 25

08:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Live in Munich

Less Details

  • What are the main benefits and challenges of increasing voltage levels in electric vehicle powertrains?
  • Where should the increased voltage levels be at, and which inverter topology is suitable/optimal for those voltage levels?
  • How do design and performance requirements differ between traction inverters for passenger EVs and heavy-duty electric trucks?
  • What role do emerging semiconductor technologies (e.g., SiC, GaN) play in improving efficiency and power density?
  • How can higher voltage systems contribute to faster charging and overall energy efficiency?
  • What are the key safety and reliability considerations when scaling up voltage levels in EV power electronics?
