Michael Schilling studied Physics at the University of Bielefeld and the Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. After finishing his diploma in 2001 he did his PhD in Physics at the University of Bielefeld with the title „On-chip manipulation and positioning of biomolecules with magnetic beads“.
After two PostDoc years in “Nanobiotechnology, Thin Films and magnetoresistive sensors” at the Uni Bielefeld and the Centre for advanced microstructures & Devices (CAMD, Liousiana) he started in 2007 at Hella as developer and project manager for Rain-Light-Sensors, RADARs and Frontcameras.
Today he is a project manager in the advanced Engineering Group at Hella and responsible for all projects regarding automated driving topics and especially sensor data fusion.
