Carlo Rosso is an Associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino with over 14 years of academic experience, and co-founder of Rotor s.r.l. and GeDy TrAss s.r.l.. As R&D lead at GeDy TrAss, he spearheads development of algorithms and tools to simplify mechanical component and powertrain design. He also serves on the general council of Fondazione CRC (since May 2024). In past roles, he was President of GAL Langhe Roero Leader (2020–2023) and Mayor of Monesiglio (2009–2013). GeDy TrAss s.r.l. is a Turin-based engineering company born in 2017 from the mechanical and aerospace department (DIMEAS) of Politecnico di Torino. The firm develops advanced methodologies, software tools and consulting solutions to streamline mechanical design—specializing in static & dynamic analyses, gear design, rotordynamics, FE simulations, NVH and experimental validation. Its flagship offerings include GearDraft for macro‐geometry layout and OptiMicro for micro-geometry optimization.
