In the digital era, simulation and virtual prototyping allow you to shorten the development cycle of your products while also reducing costs and improving confidence in the results. Virtual prototyping can be used through different stages of product development to help you:
- Select the best cooling mechanism for power electronics components and ensure their reliability under the different drive cycles.
- Investigate different cooling schemes for e-machines (from forced air to oil spray, for example) to improve power density while maintaining safety temperatures for the various components.
- Investigate the cooling and mitigate the risks of thermal runaway of the battery pack.
- Perform a system-level analysis of the whole powertrain to study the impact of potential connections of the cooling schemes among the different components.
