Nicola Rossi is Motor Development Lead at Rimac Technology, where he oversees the full e-motor development team, coordinating mechanical design, thermal/fluid and electromagnetic simulations with a focus on performance and cost efficiency. Over the past three years at Rimac, he has led the design of high-performance, mid-volume e-machines integrated into advanced drivetrains, working closely with global suppliers and OEMs. Previously, Nicola gained experience at HPE COXA as a mechanical designer and fluid dynamics simulation engineer, specializing in high-performance electrical machines. He holds a degree from Politecnico di Torino, where he also supported teaching in mechanical engineering.

From Battery and Vehicle Systems to Torque Vectoring, e-AXLES, Advanced Driver-Assistance System, Infotainment, Connectivity, and UX/UI, Rimac Technology is a full technology solutions provider to global OEMs. Rimac Technology works with almost every car manufacturer in Europe, using its engineering expertise to develop Nevera from the ground up to offer a range of services that take its customers through the entire process. Rimac Technology team can create the concept, engineer it, test it thoroughly with prototypes, begin pre-series production, and – finally – put a product into full serial production with all the quality, reliability, and performance requirements of a major manufacturer in place. Rimac Technology is publicly known to have worked with many global OEMs including Porsche, Hyundai, Kia, CUPRA, Automobili Pininfarina, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin, while there are many projects that are still unknown to the public. Having delivered technology for many small-volume projects in the past years, Rimac Technology is ramping up its production capacity and will be manufacturing 40,000 batteries per year in 2024 – and this is just one of 12 OEM projects currently ongoing, ranging from small hybrid battery systems to full rolling chassis.
